web2.0 websiteKent based we6 has been involved in web design and the development of websites and intranet sites for over 10 years and we have well-established and up-to-date experience and skills.

Whether it is in the design and development of a brand new web site, the re-launch or upgrade of an existing website, migration to a new system, or any web-related task, we would be pleased to assist you to meet the challenge.

b1Static Websites

Static websites are the simplest and least expensive sites, and they tend to be extremely robust as there is not a lot to go wrong. However, if the content has to be changed frequently, this type of site can be time-consuming and therefore expensive to maintain.

If you just need an initial point of contact for your organisation, a single page website, preferably with a good graphic or photo, giving your name, what you do and how to contact you, may be all you need.

Features such as order forms, membership application, newsletter enrolment and e-mail enquiries are available, but for more online user-interaction a dynamic site may be more suitable.

b1Simple Updateable Websites

If your website content is likely to change frequently (eg contains items such as news, products and prices, services) you may need a dynamic site.

There are many different types - a website can be designed for use with packages such as Macromedia Contribute, which allows you to change pre-defined content within your website. This is well suited for making changes to text, prices, pictures etc. If you do the work yourself, you don't have to pay for these updates to be done.

Alternatively we can carry out your updates as an ongoing process.

b1Dynamic (Data Driven) Websites

This usually involves building a custom interface for interaction with the database via the chosen scripting language.

Web2.0 type websites tend to involve a lot of user interaction and we go into some detail in a separate page, selectable from the menu on the left.

b1Multimedia-based Websites

If you want to display multimedia elements such as sound, moving pictures, online games or video, a flash-based website may be suitable, connected to a high-output web server. In addition to the higher costs this may incur, your bandwidth requirements are likely to be higher.
